What this collection is

The Aman Edit is our inaugural shortlist of six properties from one hotel group, across six countries. It is a focused collection, not a comprehensive comparison of hotel brands or an assertion that these are the six best hotels in the world.

How we choose the order

We prioritise a distinctive setting, architectural character, and how closely a property’s published offering connects to its destination. We also consider variety across city, coast, and desert stays. The order is a qualitative editorial preference; it is not a calculated score or a guest rating.

Amangiri leads for its relationship with the desert landscape. Amankila follows for its coastal setting and Balinese character. Aman Venice, Aman Tokyo, Amanzoe, and Amanjena complete the edit with distinct interpretations of a sense of place.

What we have verified

Hotel names, locations, and the core features described here come from the properties’ official websites, checked on 31 October 2026. Each hotel page links to its source. We have not conducted on-site inspections or collected guest reviews. Descriptions and preferences should not be read as first-hand reports.
